The cable I had stopped working, but I contacted the seller and they sent me a new one no questions asked. Works great for getting my VR into my living room without having to bring my entire PC there.Worked for Valve Index for 3 weeks, roughly 10 hours of use. Then, Windows won't recognize any device on it. Hopefully the replacement lasts longer, because it worked great when it was functional.Most applications don't require the USB cable be powered, but be aware if you need it to be powered, the power adapter plugs into the female end of the cable, so you will need power wherever your device is plugging into the extender. This may not be an issue, but if you are running this from your console or computer to a VR headset and it requires power on the extender, you will need power next to your VR headset.After using one time, the metal USB port literally broke in half!Installed with Logitech Rally camera. Rally power supply placed below the camera. no video loss however be patient during firmware update of the camera using such a long cable but it will update. we will not update through this cable again however. Highly recommended!This thing is awesome. I have 4k Logitech Rally cameras for online educators. I needed a way to mount the cameras across the opposite side of the room. Picture is fantastic. If your camera has its own power, you don't need the power adapter tht comes with this. If you have a simple USB camera, you will need it. Either way, this works great.This cable runs from my server room to the next room by going through the wall and attic. Tested this cable before hand for a couple days before running the cable through the house and worked fine. After the install it worked fine for about 3 months and then stopped working. I checked the PSU that came with the cable and it appears to be dead.I was able to use a powered hub that seems to be enough to power a keyboard, mouse and audio card without using a PSU on the cable end itself.I purchased this product to use with my Oculus Rift S because I wanted to set it up in the living room vs it being in my tiny office space. This product works exactly as intended for the Rift S. I think it's a little pricey for what it is... But it does work.
